Founded in 2011 by a group of dedicated volunteers, Kaikōura Cycling Club is not just a club; it's a movement to enhance cycling experiences and facilities in the picturesque Kaikōura district. Our vision is ambitious – to craft a world-class cycle and walking trail network that weaves through the ocean and mountains of Kaikōura. The realization of this vision is unfolding with projects like the Kaikōura Trail and the exhilarating Kaiterau Trail loop, reaching heights of 570m and offering breathtaking views of the Kaikōura Peninsula.

As an incorporated club, we are committed to promoting cycling and outdoor activities, organizing and managing events, planning trail developments, and ensuring the maintenance of existing trails. We serve as a hub for trail information, advocating for cycling in Kaikōura, and fostering a community that shares our love for adventure on two wheels.
