In 2013, Salt & Sham Cycling Club emerged from the shared passion of 10 friends, embodying the ethos of Collective Cycling. Since its inception, the club has flourished organically, attracting members drawn to the spirit of collective riding.

With approximately 240 members, Salt & Sham is a dynamic community that extends its embrace to riders of all abilities. The club boasts a dedicated cycling club HQ situated at Keynsham Cricket Club, serving as a hub for diverse cycling activities.

Engaging in a broad spectrum of cycling disciplines, including Road Racing, CX, TT, MTB, Audaxes, and Sportives, Salt & Sham members are not only avid cyclists but also active participants in various events. The club takes pride in organizing its own events, featuring thrilling TTs, challenging Hill Climbs, and the renowned 'Run What Ya Brung.'

Beyond the pedals, Salt & Sham is deeply rooted in community outreach. The club actively collaborates with local schools, offering support with events and safety initiatives, fostering a positive cycling culture in the area.

At the heart of the club's weekly activities is the Saturday club ride, affectionately known as 'The Lap Of The Lakes.' Commencing every Saturday at 7 am (8 am from December to February), riders gather at Ashton Way, Keynsham, embarking on a picturesque 45km loop around the captivating Chew Valley countryside. The journey concludes at Keynsham Cricket Club, where participants come together for a satisfying breakfast. The ride epitomizes the club's ethos of inclusivity, ensuring that everyone is welcome, and no one gets left behind. Salt & Sham invites all cycling enthusiasts to join the camaraderie and experience the joy of collective riding.
