Welcome to Onslow Cycling, a thriving road cycling group based in Wellington with a legacy spanning over 25 years. Our core focus revolves around enhancing fitness, refining riding technique, ensuring safety, and, most importantly, having fun on two wheels.

Over the years, Onslow Cycling has become synonymous with cycling epics, as our riders have conquered a myriad of challenges, from major national fun rides like Taupo, K2, Featherston Classic to MTB events, gravel rides, and bike packing adventures. As a community of riders and individuals, we strive for continuous improvement year after year.

Every Sunday at 8 am, riders gather at the AutoMat Cafe in Khandallah for a ride briefing and grouping by ability, setting the stage for our regular training rides. The intersection of Baroda St, Box Hill, and Station Road becomes our starting point for memorable cycling experiences.

Safety is paramount, and Onslow Cycling emphasizes a social riding ethos. Joining our rides is a voluntary choice made at your own risk, with a commitment to abide by all road rules. Each rider is expected to prioritize safety, act responsibly, and have the necessary fitness, a well-maintained bike, and confidence for road cycling. We encourage an atmosphere where every rider plays a role in enhancing the safety of the group.

Our post-ride ritual involves reconvening at the AutoMat cafe for a debrief, sharing war stories, and replenishing energy with coffee and snacks.
