Hutt Valley Mountain Bike Club
Welcome to the Hutt Valley Mountain Bike Club, a thriving community established in 1991 that spans the greater Wellington area. With a strong preference for cross country riding, our club has become a hub for enthusiasts seeking organized and adventurous rides.
The club offers a variety of riding options, including Sunday rides, Jungle rides, and the immensely popular Wednesday night rides, drawing 5 to 20 or more participants depending on the route. These rides create a vibrant atmosphere, fostering camaraderie among members.
For those seeking an added challenge, the club delves into Mountain Bike Orienteering (MTBO), a thrilling fusion of rogaining and mountain biking. Club members actively contribute to mapping and organizing events, such as the Akatarawa Attack MTBO event. Additionally, individual members take turns running events in the Wellington MTBO series from March to October.
