Established in 1988, our Christchurch Mountain Biking Club embodies a philosophy centered on fostering a vibrant community of mountain bikers dedicated to promoting and enjoying the sport in the Christchurch area. As a not-for-profit club, your membership fees contribute to the development of mountain biking in our region.

We organize local and nationwide rides, providing opportunities to connect with fellow riders, explore new trails, and form lasting friendships. Our club serves as a social hub, motivating members to ride more, improve fitness, and enhance riding skills. The camaraderie within our group creates a supportive environment for riders of all levels.

Being advocates for the sport, we actively donate to local tracks and those we frequent in New Zealand, contributing to their maintenance and development. We encourage members to participate in working bees, fostering a sense of responsibility for maintaining local tracks.

The club runs fortnightly Sunday rides, alternating between local Christchurch rides and "away rides" exploring the Canterbury area or embarking on trips within New Zealand. Our rides accommodate various track grades to cater to riders of all expertise levels.
