Welcome to Waiheke Mountain Bike Club (WMBC), a not-for-profit organization committed to enhancing the mountain biking experience on Waiheke Island. Our mission extends beyond advocacy, as we actively engage in building mountain bike single tracks for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors.

Comprising dedicated volunteers from the local community, WMBC's track-building team has invested countless hours in the bush, transforming landscapes with a combination of hard work, determination, and a love for riding. Recognized by the Auckland City Council as a volunteer community group, WMBC plays a crucial role in promoting and developing mountain biking on Waiheke.

The club not only constructs trails but also emphasizes community engagement and well-being. We encourage everyone to explore the natural spaces around Waiheke Island while enjoying the positive benefits of exercise. Acknowledging the support from the Auckland City Council, WMBC organizes a Bike Race on Waiheke, providing an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate biking.

Part of our development fund goes towards environmental conservation, with over 250 native trees funded and planted along the family track. These efforts contribute to the ecological sustainability of the island, creating a harmonious balance between biking and nature.

WMBC goes beyond trail development, offering members valuable resources such as bike maintenance tips, track building insights, ecological awareness, and even support for competitive racing.
