Welcome to the University of Chicago Velo Club (UCVC), where undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and alumni share a passion for road biking. Our group organizes both weekday group rides and longer weekend excursions, exploring scenic routes to coffee shops, new bike trails, or pubs. Our main focus is to foster camaraderie within the UChicago community while appreciating the picturesque landscapes of Chicagoland and Illinois.

We understand the barriers of time and money that often deter people from cycling, so our listed group rides are generally no-drop, welcoming anyone with any type of bike. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned rider, our goal is to make biking accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

For those seeking a bit more challenge, we actively participate in the Midwest Cycling Collegiate Conference, engaging in road racing, criterium racing, and time trial events. With past successes in road and criterium racing, we are eager to achieve more podium finishes in the upcoming season.
