Established in 2010, Sydney Uni Velo Club (SUVelo) stands as a dynamic road cycling club committed to the continuous development and enjoyment of its riders. Whether you ride for fitness, pursue personal goals, or thrive on the competitive spirit, SUVelo welcomes all with open arms. As an affiliated club with AusCycling, we have a broader connection to the cycling community and the benefits it offers.

As part of the Sydney University Sports and Fitness (SUSF) organization, SUVelo members enjoy the advantages of belonging to SUSF. Although many members have ties to Sydney University, it's not a prerequisite for joining. Our diverse community embraces riders from various backgrounds and experiences.

SUVelo hosts graded training rides throughout the week, providing opportunities for riders of all levels. We organize regular social events, and everyone is encouraged to join our Friday coffee rides – a perfect introduction to our friendly community (see Join a Ride).

While proud of our racing pedigree, SUVelo understands that not every member is inclined to race. However, for those who love competition, we have a strong presence at various racing venues. Our Racing@SUVelo program and close associations with elite teams, such as Sydney Uni-Staminade and Team Nero Bianchi, showcase our commitment to fostering cycling talent and success.

Prospective members should have previous bunch riding experience and appropriate equipment. Our club is inclusive, catering to a wide range of abilities and experiences.
