Seacroft Wheelers

Seacroft Wheelers, founded in 1975 by Barbara Penrice with a focus on developing young cyclists, evolved to embrace racing and time-trialling as membership flourished.
From the outset, the club adopted a windmill emblem, inspired by a local landmark at the A64/A6120 roundabout. This historic windmill, dating back to the 1700s and originally a corn-grinding mill, now stands as part of the Britannia Hotel. Though no images with blades exist, the stylized version on the club's kit represents a recognizable feature. The enduring presence of the windmill in Seacroft Wheelers' identity pays homage to its rich heritage.
