In June 2001, five friends embarked on a cycling journey from London to Cannes, aiming to celebrate a friend fighting leukemia and supporting cancer charities. This marked the inception of the Fireflies, a growing community committed to challenging rides across the Alps. Inspired by a miraculous encounter with fireflies on Col de Turini, their motto "For those who suffer we ride" embodies their purpose. The annual rides, expanding globally, raise funds for cancer research and patient care, uniting cyclists worldwide in the fight against this insidious disease.
