Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance

Established in 1988 as CORBA and later merging with BBTC in 1990, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance has become the nation's largest statewide mountain bike association, now operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Committed to sustainable recreation, trail maintenance, advocacy, education, and fostering a vibrant mountain biking community, Evergreen has played a pivotal role in shaping the mountain biking landscape in Washington.
With a mission to create, maintain, and protect sustainable mountain biking opportunities in the state, Evergreen collaborates with landowners, land managers, and various stakeholders to ensure access to trails while promoting responsible riding practices. The organization's impressive track record includes contributing over 29,000 hours of trail work annually, making significant strides in trail development and maintenance.
Evergreen boasts eight regional chapters, a thriving community of 8,000+ members, and a stellar reputation for delivering world-class trails. Notable projects include the award-winning Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park, the expansive Raging River trail system, and an overall contribution of over 220 miles of new mountain bike trails in the past eight years.
The vision of Evergreen is to make Washington one of the best places in the country to ride a mountain bike. This vision is pursued through proactive measures such as collaborating with landowners, donating thousands of trail building and maintenance hours, educating mountain bikers through skills classes and clinics, inspiring the younger generation to embrace cycling, and organizing events that unite the mountain biking community.
Evergreen's history reflects a transformative journey from a reactive advocacy stance, fighting for public trail access, to a proactive approach centered around building positive, cooperative relationships with federal agencies, land managers, environmental organizations, and other trail user groups. The organization takes pride in consistently caring for the trails they ride on while fostering a responsible and thriving mountain biking culture in Washington.
