History of EBC:Delve into the rich history of EBC, born out of a desire for more varied and engaging rides. In 1976, a group of South Florida Wheelmen members decided to form their own club, and thus, Everglades Bicycle Club emerged. The creation of the iconic "alligator on a bicycle" logo marked the beginning of a cycling legacy that continues today. The EBC grew steadily, and by January 1977, its monthly newsletter found its place in local bicycle shops.

Cycling Legacy:In March 1977, with 93 active members, EBC celebrated its growth by joining the Dr. Paul Dudley White Bicycle Club to mark its 15th Anniversary at Castellow Hammock Park in the Redland. Cycling enthusiasts rejoiced in a 25-mile bicycle ride and picnic, highlighting the joyous times shared by members. Today, EBC stands as a testament to the enduring popularity of cycling in South Florida.
