Founded in 1997, DCMTB is more than just a team of urban mountain bikers – we are a passionate and engaged community. As a registered USA Cycling club team, we actively participate in various mountain bike and cyclocross races, showcasing our skills in the mid-Atlantic region and national ultra endurance events.
However, our commitment extends beyond racing. DCMTB dedicates hundreds of hours to cycling advocacy, contributing to the community by building trails with MORE and promoting urban biking with WABA in the DC area. Monthly meetings serve as a platform to discuss and plan upcoming races, group rides, trail maintenance, and team trips.
Noteworthy events hosted by DCMTB include DCXC, a cross-country mountain bike race, and the co-promotion of DCCX, one of the largest cyclocross races on the east coast. As a registered 501(c)3 organization, DCMTB combines a love for mountain biking with a commitment to community, advocacy, and trail building. Join us in the adventure on two wheels!

Our club is always looking for new members. We’d love to have you join or answer any questions that you have about the club, our membership, or our activities.
