Founded in 2014 by a group of cycling enthusiasts from Croston, Croston Cycling Club, also known as Croston Velo, has grown into a welcoming community serving the entire local area, including Mawdesley, Parbold, Eccleston, and Rufford. Primarily a social cycling club, members enjoy various rides suitable for all abilities, starting and finishing at Croston Sports Club.

Affiliated with the Club Time Trailing association and British Cycling, the club caters to both leisure cyclists and those interested in time trials and road racing. An annual membership fee of £20, running from April to April, provides access to the club's vibrant cycling community.
