BICISPORT Calgary Cycling Club, a registered not-for-profit organization, traces its roots back to 1988 when a group of cycling enthusiasts formed the Spokes Racing Team. In 1992, the club adopted the name "bicisport Calgary Cycling Club," derived from the Italian word for bicycle, "bicicletta," translating to "bikesport."

With around 65 members, BICISPORT began as a road racing club and evolved into a prominent force in Alberta, excelling in road, mountain biking, and track racing. Our history includes nurturing National Team and International-caliber athletes, with a commitment to supporting athletes at all levels, including Paralympic and Junior competitors.

Dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering bicycle racing, BICISPORT actively engages in organizing top cycling events in Alberta. We've hosted the 2009 Alberta Provincial Road Championships and provided technical support for the 1998 World Police-Fireman Games.

Affiliated with the Alberta Cycling Association (ABA), the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA), and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), our members enjoy various benefits, including access to club equipment, financial and logistical race support, coaching, club rides, insurance through ABA, team camaraderie, training partnerships, and, most importantly, a vibrant community of cyclists.

Our diverse membership, spanning ages 12 to 65, reflects our inclusive ethos. Whether you're a beginner or an elite racer, BICISPORT Calgary Cycling Club welcomes you to join our cycling journey filled with excitement, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun.
