In the heart of Sheffield, the Sheffield Women's Cycling group emerged from years of navigating the renowned Sheffield "Teacake Ride" alongside men. Recognizing the strength in numbers among experienced and novice women riders, we embarked on our own journey.

Every Saturday, just after 9 am, we gather at the junction of Bents Road and Ecclesall Road South on the outskirts of Sheffield (South West). Our usual 40-mile route ventures into the peaks of Derbyshire, featuring a mandatory stop at the charming Pool café in Hathersage. Here, over sticky buns and pots of tea, we share stories and plan our next cycling adventures.

Our endeavors have expanded to include regular midweek evening training rides around Dam Flask and weekly mountain bike rides, often in the dark with delightful mud encounters. Each adventure concludes with well-deserved pints at the Norfolk Arms pub in Ringinglow.

Fueling our camaraderie is a thriving Facebook page, initially established to connect women cyclists, share ride details, and discuss cycling news in the area. Surpassing 245 enthusiastic members, our community has grown beyond expectations.

As we strive to empower more women in our sport, we've launched this website and anticipate creating distinctive cycling kit to enhance our identity on roads and trails. Join Sheffield Women's Cycling, be part of our exciting journey, and literally come along for the ride
