Established in 2002, Velo Girls has stood as a pillar of support for women in cycling, fostering a diverse community of riders. Our membership spans from teens to individuals in their 70s, and our influence extends across Northern California. Beyond recreational cyclists, we've nurtured national-level racers on roads, tracks, and trails. Notably, our racing team has been a dominant force in Northern California for over a decade, and we've proudly fielded a national-level professional cycling team that competed extensively across the United States.

Velo Girls has been recognized by USA Cycling as the Club of the Year in 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2008, showcasing our commitment to excellence. Additionally, we have received accolades such as Best Bike Club from Competitor Magazine, City Sports Magazine, and the Bay List. Our community is not only about competitive cycling but also about creating a supportive environment for women and girls interested in various aspects of the sport.
