Established in 1963 by iconic figures in New York bike racing, Al Toefield and Pete Senia, Kissena Cycling Club emerged with a mission to make cycling accessible to all New Yorkers. Al and Pete played pivotal roles in creating the Kissena velodrome in Queens, a testament to their dedication to the sport.

The club boasts a rich history, nurturing talents like the renowned George Hincapie. Brooklyn serves as our base, but our membership spans the entire city. We actively promote two prestigious race series: the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup in Prospect Park and the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup, Castelli Tuesday Night Series at Floyd Bennett Field. These races are expertly directed and organized by seasoned race director Tom Mains, with full support from our dedicated club.

While our roots lie in Brooklyn, you'll find us participating in early morning training rides in iconic locations like Prospect and Central Park. We're proud to have the backing of Ride Brooklyn, a testament to our commitment to the cycling community.
