Saddle up and join the legacy of the Houston Bicycle Club (HBC), the oldest continuously operating bicycle club in the Houston area, established in 1964. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just getting started, we have a ride for you! Every weekend, HBC organizes diverse rides catering to varying levels of cyclists. Many of the region's favorite routes were originally crafted by our dedicated members.

For the adventurous souls, our out-of-town rides cover a 40+/- mile range, exploring rolling to hilly terrains. Geared towards intermediate riders, these weekend journeys demand an intensity level perfect for those who can keep up with the group or navigate with maps. Average speeds range from 15-17 mph. Check our TeamUp Calendar for ride schedules, start locations, and RWGPS routes. Remember to come prepared with a printed map or your route loaded on your phone or bike computer, as maps won't be available at the start. In case of cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, updates will be posted on the Google Calendar.

Join us on the first Sunday of the month for the Houston Sans Car Ride, a leisurely 20-25 mile exploration through Houston's captivating neighborhoods. Starting at Stude Park in the Heights, this leader-led ride includes a mid-point stop at one of the city's independent coffee shops, providing a delightful social experience.

Discover the city's hidden gems with our Urban Challenge Rides, in-town excursions ranging from 40-45 miles with rest stops. Cruising at speeds between 14-16 mph, these leader-led group rides ensure no one is left behind. Explore parts of Houston you might have never seen by bike or even by car, expanding your horizons with each ride.
