Founded in the late 1950s, the Central Districts Cycling Club has been a cornerstone of the cycling community, fostering talent and promoting the sport across generations.

In 1967, amidst a period of high popularity, the club introduced a junior tour catering to riders under 16, with races spanning the northern districts and Barossa Valley. The club's strong track focus led to the development of its own track at Ramsay Park, featuring a fast surface with thrilling banking, though a bit bumpy in parts.

Despite a downturn in membership during the 1980s, the club's legacy endures, with remnants of the original track still visible on Womma Rd. In recent years, the club has revitalized its offerings, introducing a Junior Tour open to riders aged Under 13 to Under 17, which has garnered popularity nationwide.

Building on this success, the club expanded its event calendar with the inaugural Senior Tour in 2011, catering to riders from under 19 onwards. Central Districts Cycling Club remains committed to its legacy of nurturing cycling talent and fostering community spirit through exciting race events and initiatives.
