Since its establishment in 1996, the Vikings Cycling Club (VCC) has been a cycling hub for South Canberra and Tuggeranong residents, evolving to welcome members from across Canberra, including the Northside and Belconnen areas, with some enthusiasts even hailing from as far as Cooma.

VCC is a diverse community fostering a love for all forms of cycling. The club hosts a range of road, track, and gravel races, along with various cycling events throughout the Canberra region. Emphasizing inclusivity, VCC organizes weekly road bunch rides that serve both as training sessions and social rides.

Noteworthy is VCC's commitment to supporting and developing cyclists across different demographics. The club boasts a strong contingent of women cyclists, masters-aged riders, and athletes with disabilities (AWD) members. Their junior cyclists program stands out as one of the most successful in the region. VCC takes pride in providing coaching and support for novice cyclists, pioneering programs like the Novice Road Cycling Program and the Women's Novice Track Development program.

VCC's aims are rooted in creating a positive environment for cyclists of all levels, promoting junior development, and organizing a varied racing program. Family involvement is encouraged with membership concessions and low social membership fees, reflecting the club's commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
